TIME IS SHORT!

IT MAY BE WORSE THAN YOU THINK

There is, however, more to the tale of human existence than birth, life and death. Each of us knows it’s just a matter of time before our own death, but do you know that there is also a resurrection to judgment before The Eternal God where you will be judged by Him according to His Holy Law? God’s Law is perfect, there are no loopholes. He is an all-knowing Judge who is always just and will insure His Law is upheld. God says “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” [Hebrews 9:27]

THE LAKE OF FIRE

The Lake of Fire, also known as Hell, is real and reserved for all sinners (those who are guilty of breaking God’s Holy Ten Commandments, even just one of them, just one time).

God says “But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” [Revelation 21:8]

YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN THIS PERIL

 God says “for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” [Romans 3:23], “There is none righteous, no, not one” [Romans 3:10], “For there is not a just man upon the Earth, that doeth good and sinneth not” [Ecclesiastes 7:20] and “For the wages of sin is death” [Romans 6:23] – this is the ‘default’ condition and destiny of all mankind. 

YOU MUST BE PREPARED!

 The Bible continuously warns us of The Day of Judgment. The Holy God of Creation hates sin and The Day of Judgment is approaching fast, and those who live without forgiveness will have no other choice but to face eternal damnation in The Fires of Hell, they will be denied Eternal Life. God says “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” [Revelation 20:15]

THERE IS HOPE!

If these facts concern you, good! God intends that you be fearful of your destiny apart from His forgiveness. In His love He has written down many warnings to us in His Holy Word, The Bible.

“Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” [1 Timothy 2:4]

He has also provided a way for us to be saved from this destiny through His Son, Jesus. God says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [John 3:16]

WHO IS JESUS?

Jesus says “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life: no man cometh unto The Father but by Me.” [John 14:6] and The Bible also says about Jesus “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” [Acts 4:12]

Jesus is the only way to Salvation (to be saved from the lake of fire). There is no other method, no amount of good you can do, no amount of desire you can have that will spare you, or anyone from the second death. Through His death  Jesus has paid the price you owe, and offers to give this as a gift to anyone who will hear and obey His call. The Apostle Paul preached about Jesus in this manner: “Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.” [Acts 17:31]

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

If you are truly convicted of your sin, and want to change the course of your life, now and hereafter, there is a simple answer – Repent. To repent means to turn from your current life of sin and disobedience to God and receive His forgiveness through the sacrifice that Jesus made, in Faith. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” [John 3:17]

SAVING FAIT IS WHAT YOU NEED

Saving Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone and what He has done for your salvation rather than what we have done. The moment we open our hearts to Jesus Christ and place our complete trust in Him alone as our Lord and Savior, we receive His complete pardon of our sin and He reserves us a place in His Holy Kingdom. We become fully reconciled to God The Father. What awesome grace! “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” [2 Corinthians 5:17]

NOW! DON’T WAIT!

You can start your new life RIGHT NOW [you may not get another chance!]. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior NOW and become a child of God by Faith in Jesus’ atonement for your sin. You can do this by simply [sincerely] asking (another word for asking is prayer).

HERE IS A SUGGESTED PRAYER

Dear Father God, I’m a sinner, please forgive me of my sins. I believe Jesus Christ died for me and rose from the dead. I trust Jesus Christ alone as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for your forgiveness and everlasting life. I repent of my sins and will be baptized in your name, read your Word and seek regular fellowship with other believers. Please come into my life and teach me and help me walk with you day by day.     In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth The Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” [Romans 10:9]

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” [Acts 2:38]

YOU HAVE NOW RECEIVED NEW LIFE

After baptism and receiving of His holy spirit (a helper to work with your conscience and enable you to do what is right in His sight) then you have become a child of The Almighty and a fellow citizen of The Kingdom of God.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” [Romans 8:1] You may have learned a few things about yourself, God (including Jesus) and salvation. Now you can spend the rest of this life learning more about God, His ways and what He has planned for you. This must continue for a life time, and it will not always be easy as you will still be dealing with forces that want to pull you away from your New Life such as The World, your own flesh and Satan.

FEAR NOT!

Jesus says “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” [John 14:27] God is greater than all of your enemies combined and has promised to provide all you need not just to conquer these enemies, but to have total victory over them! God says “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” [Philippians 1:6] and “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” [1 John 4:4]

LIVE A LIFE PLEASING TO GOD

After redemption and salvation, God Desires you to live a Holy Life as His Child. You must be saved in order to become a Christian, but in order to become a righteous and mature Christian you must grow through the Word of God.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” [Romans 12:1–2]

WHAT’S NEXT?

Maturing as a Child of God is a tall order and you will need much help. First and foremost always remember your ultimate reliance and faith is in God alone, not in yourself or other people. “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” [Revelation 14:12] and “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” [John 6:63]

If you have taken this most important of all steps in your life, please know that we are very happy for you and our prayers are with you. Always remember “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” [Hebrews 13:5]
